EXORCISM HOTLINE
A MUSLIM cleric is suing bosses after he was sacked for setting up a hotline to perform EXORCISMS.
Hamidur Rahman, 51 nicknamed the Mobile Imam also offered spiritual healings to boost his £160-a-week pay at a mosque.
But bosses at Newcastles Shah Jalal mosque got fed up with his extra work and sacked him when he allegedly took a holiday to Bangladesh without permission.
Mr Rahman, who speaks no English, said he was visiting his sick mum. He is claiming unfair dismissal at an employment tribunal.
His lawyer Joe OBrien told a preliminary hearing: The fact that Mr Rahman undertook work outside the mosque is irrelevant. A full tribunal is set for this year.
