About us

We are a small but swiftly growing Australian company called CATTICO Pty Ltd, which owns the registered business trading name of Vaucluse Press.

Vaucluse Press has published two books so far, both by the same author, Mike Agostini (Tusitala). Mike’s books are titled DEATH The Ultimate Orgasm? (or DB1 for short), published in 2003, and The Dying Experience and Leaning How to Live (DB2), published in 2004, with his third one due out in late 2006 or early 2007.

When several of the larger publishing houses rejected DB1, Mike invited his younger son, James Agostini, to become his publisher, using the name of Vaucluse Press, under which Mike once published a number of magazines, mainly dealing with sport, health, recreation and fitness. Having worked for the Packer family, firstly for the late Sir Frank Packer and subsequently for his younger son, the late Kerry Packer, Mike has been able to provide James with adequate experience and information to enable him to begin to build what is now becoming a very successful publishing business. Soon we will also be hosting videos on our site here at AfterLife News.com, and eventually there will be additional things to interest our visitors. Mike’s experience of working for Sir Frank Packer when he was appointed as Sports Director for the leading Australian TV station, TCN-9 in Sydney, has enabled the older Agostini to transfer much of his knowledge and experience in this field, too, to his younger son, James.

For the information of foreign visitors to this site, Vaucluse is one of the more salubrious suburbs of Sydney, Australia’s largest and leading city, from which we’ve taken the name in our title. The Agostini family once lived in Vaucluse and Mike also operated and managed a small publishing, public relations, marketing, media and event-organising collection of enterprises from there, assisted at all times by his dedicated, devoted and long-suffering personal assistant cum secretary cum sub-editor and at times also editor, Lucy Buxton, who, even in her semi-retirement, had been back in the harness until her sudden and unexpected death on Friday, March 2nd, 2007. Recently (see obituary) having had several unusual incidents at the approximate time of Lucy’s demise, and several more subsequently, we have no doubts whatsoever that she is still with us, spiritually, helping and motivating with what is indeed an interesting series of exciting and potentially very successful business that James now operates, being not only Managing Director but just about everything else for the time being, as the business develops and grows.

We have great ideas and many plans, as well as Mike’s next book, plus various other creative concepts and enterprises, mostly all based on what our current two books are about, the so-called supernatural and paranormal - both of which we see as being quite normal and natural, which is how we’d like to enable and help others to perceive them too.

Visitors’ comments would be welcome, as would any thoughts, ideas or suggestions. If you have an idea for a book of your own, please inform us and if we’re able to assist with getting you going in the right direction we’d be pleased to help - and, who knows, maybe also to get it published, possibly by us.
