NOSTRADAMUS: THE HEALER, THE PROPHET, THE MAN

Everyone has heard of the great prophet Nostradamus, but rarely is he praised for his skills as a healer and herbalist, or looked upon as a man like any other. In Kuntarkis' own words, here is what he channelled about Nostradamus...

Nostradamus was a great prophet, more so than Jesus. Jesus was a great and wise man, but he wasn't a prophet in the truest sense of the word. He didn't see visions and then express those visions to the people. He expressed wisdom through his words in an attempt to educate the ignorant masses of the importance of unconditional love. Nostradamus on the other hand saw everything within his mind. Nostradamus and Jesus did have something very special in common: both were channellers of knowledge and information.

Nostradamus' life was very interesting considering the time in which he lived. Born in a small town in the early part of the 16th century (which no longer exists due to the plague), he grew up on a farm in the south west of France. Life was very hard. Putting food on the table each night was not as easy as it is today. In fact, it was probably a hundred times harder. If you had your own animals, such as chickens, cows, and goats, and a little land to grow some vegetables, it was a little easier. But for the average person life was very hard, mainly due to many raids by rogue gangs and bandits who would come and take all the food and any valuables. They were a constant threat to average people trying to make a living and raise a family.

Nostradamus was not his real name. (The name 'Nostradamus' was given to him later in his life.) His real name was Patrice. The youngest of four children, Patrice had 2 sisters and a brother. He had always been a visionary, and had always been an imaginative child. Patrice would love to play games but was often scolded by his father who would constantly remind him to "do your work, do your chores". Times were tough and Patrice's father felt very burdened by the responsibility of a family in such times, so without conscious awareness he would frequently take out his frustration on the young prophet and healer. Fearful of his father, he was often punished physically (he used to beat him) and emotionally, and as a result he became a bed-wetter. His mother would never say too much because if she did, she would then be the recipient of his anger. Sadly, Patrice's father grew up with the same miserable upbringing that he was putting upon his children, so without making excuses for the man's inexcusable behaviour, he simply didn't know any better.

Patrice would do his chores, but at the same time he would play games with his non physical friends. From a very early age he was in contact with the Element Kingdom; the Devas, the Elves and the like. He communicated with them daily, but never told his parents about it. The Elementals asked him not to because they knew his parents would simply tell him there were no such things or that he was possessed. People were very fearfully superstitious in that time, and it was dangerous to be open about communication with other worlds. Anyone accused of witchery was burnt, hung or drowned.

Having a very unique ability from a young age, Patrice was a natural healer and channel, and learnt a great deal about healing with plants and hands-on healing (like Reiki) from the Element Kingdom. Sadly however, he closed this ability down when one of his sisters, Petra, died at the age of 7. Patrice tried to revive her. I'm being shown a picture where he is putting his hands on her the way the Deva had shown him. He's saying "Please, please come back to life, come back to life. You're not dead. You're not dead". But because he couldn't revive her, he lost his trust in the Element Kingdom, and for the next few years gave away his communication and study with the Element Kingdom. Petra's death brought a great deal of sadness to the entire family for many years, and along with a fear of his father's anger, Patrice became a bed-wetter up until the age of about 11 or 12.

It wasn't until the age of about 14 or 15 that Patrice finally went to school. Up until then he wasn't allowed to read or study, but was forced to work on the farm, as everyone had to work to make ends meet. His fortune in life changed when a kind, wealthy, well travelled Spanish gentleman named Bernard Vincent ? (his father was Spanish and his mother was German, but I can't pronounce his last name even though I can see it) picked the young Patrice to be his protege because of his natural abilities as a visionary. Bernard had noticed Patrice as a small boy walking through the markets of his town, talking to someone that wasn't there. Bernard was a very open minded man, and what he saw prompted him to ask "Excuse me little boy, you're talking to your friend?" Patrice replied "I'm talking to no-one". Bernard said "But you are. You're talking to your friend there". As the man showed an interest, and he felt he could trust him, Patrice told him the truth. He didn't know it at the time, but this Spaniard would come back into his life in the not too distant future and change the course of his life forever.

When Patrice was about 12 or 13 years of age, Bernard approached his parents and offered to pay them a sum of money to take the boy under his wing and educate him. It was common practice among the wealthy to search out children who showed promise and to "buy" them from their parent's in order to educate and develop them. (Bernard had many other students who he had sponsored previously.) Patrice's father made it very difficult for Bernard by haggling and putting the price up. It took 2 years of negotiating and bargaining, but eventually the two men agreed on a sum and Patrice was taken by Bernard and provided with opportunities the rest of his family would never experience. It is from this point that he was given the name Nostradamus by Bernard, which means "one who sees".

It needs to be said at this point that he didn't see his parents for many years once he left home with Bernard, and never saw his brother or sister again. He only returned to his village many years later after hearing his father was quite ill. He went back to visit them and to try to help his father, but within days of seeing him, his father died. Not long after his mother died also.

When Nostradamus left home, he couldn't read or write properly, but being a very quick learner, under the guardianship of Bernard, he excelled in all his studies, which included mathematics, languages, herbalism and astrology. They travelled all around France, as well as some parts of Europe, introducing Nostradamus to the many contacts Bernard had made throughout his lifetime and to the many other students he had sponsored. Because of his ability to see visions clearly, Nostradamus' ability to grasp knowledge quickly was exceptional. Healing and herbs were especially of interest to him, and he found that when he studied astrology he would experience particularly strong visions. He was also very interested in anything that could fly and loved to watch the birds, studying them in flight for hours.

At 18 he met a young woman, not quite 16 years old, named Antoinette (he called her Anna) and fell in love. Antoinette helped him to overcome his emotional pains from childhood and to move on from his sister's death. They were kindred spirits, and because she also believed in spirit world, they would talk about all things he could not ordinarily talk about with ordinary people. Their many conversations reactivated Nostradamus' memories and experiences from early childhood, and he started to remember what he had blocked out all those years ago. Over the next 2 years Nostradamus opened up his abilities once more and began communicating with the Element Kingdom again, and then eventually with spirits from other vibrations. This ability to communicate with other vibrations stayed with him throughout his life until his death. Sadly, Antoinette died just before her 17th birthday.

Nostradamus had visions for many years, but he didn't start documenting them until he was 27 years of age. He did this very carefully by encrypting them in poetic quatrains so as not to incriminate himself as a witch or someone possessed. A few months before his 27th birthday his friend and mentor, Bernard, died suddenly at the age of 72. Bernard had not counted on dying so soon and had not managed to arrange a suitable inheritance for Nostradamus.

A year later, at 28 years of age, Nostradamus married a woman named Francoise (he called her Fran). Francoise came from a wealthy noble family, but because she married a commoner, her father disowned her without any dowry. They had 4 children and were very much in love. Nostradamus treated his family very differently to the way he had been treated as a child, and so he always had a very close and loving relationship with all of them. It was around this time that the Black Plague had erupted in a small town. Carried from one town to another as people travelled, it eventually struck the major towns in France, and literally killed thousands of people. Nostradamus would often travel to these towns to try and help heal the sick.

Nostradamus was a very kind man, and even though he was poor, he managed to rent an old building which he eventually was able to buy. He became very well known as a healer. With his horse and cart he would travel from town to town, and sometimes he would take his children with him if the town wasn't too far away, but often he would go on his own as he would be gone for days at a time. He would grow his own herbs and would acquire herbs from different villages which he would then use to make his own medicines. Many people came to him because of his reputation as a healer and apothecary. Yet even as a healer he had to be careful of what he said to people, because if you said the wrong thing you could be accused of witchery and consorting with the devil. In those days it didn't take much to get hung or drowned for witchery or possession.

As a writer Nostradamus wrote and published his only manuscript in his early thirties, entitled Book of Medicine. It was published on a small scale and did sell, but once all copies were sold, a second printing did not occur. The purpose of the book was to document his results with a range of herbs based on what he had learnt from other books and his own experiments. His main area of study was treating many of the common ailments we still have today, such as lung problems, constipation (which was a big problem in those days), poor eyesight, allergies, gastric problems and joint aches. He never wrote any other books, but kept a lot of his notes in bundles, as he didn't plan on writing any more books. His notes served more as a personal diary of his work and visions. Sadly, he was persecuted by the Church, especially towards the end of his life, and most of his life's work was destroyed by the Church when they came and burnt down one of the rooms in his house which housed all his books, notes and experiments.

It is necessary to mention at this point that Nostradamus was a vegetarian. Because of what he had learnt from the Element Kingdom, as a small boy he became a vegetarian, not eating any meat but some dairy. When he lost his faith after his sister's death, he resumed eating meat, but then became a vegetarian once again in his late 20s. His only vice was red wine - he loved it and drank a lot of it, as well as a port-type wine made in those days. Interestingly, his wife and children ate meat, even though he didn't. Nostradamus didn't believe in pushing his beliefs or way of life onto anyone else, but he would discuss them and guide anyone who was interested in adopting his ways. He had learnt how to use energy for healing from the Deva, and had learnt that you can't pollute your body and then expect to transmit pure healing energy. Nostradamus knew that being a vegetarian was important if he was going to be a good healer.

This is still a major misconception by many healers today. They think they can indulge in all their human vices, particularly alcohol, tobacco and meat products, all of which create considerable toxicity and pollution in the body, and then expect to be able transmit a pure form of energy for healing. Like using poor quality raw materials and expecting to produce highest grade steel, the same goes for a healer. You cannot be a healer unless your body is purified, and if you do healings without a purified body, you will transmit very negative, dirty energies, which will be of no benefit to the recipient. Like using dirty surgical instruments to perform an operation, such energies do more harm than good overall. Nostradamus understood this completely.

He was between 37 and 41 years of age when the Black Plague came to his town. It killed hundreds of people. His medicine couldn't cure them, he couldn't heal them, and again he hit a low point in his life as his faith wavered in his abilities. Nostradamus finally gave up healing when his wife and children died from the plague while he was out of town helping other people. He was devastated, and from that point in his life only ever used herbs on himself, putting all of his efforts and energy into writing down his visions. He never took on any students, as he felt it was a pointless exercise. The plague had devastated many towns: within 48 hours people were violently ill, spitting up blood, blood-blisters forming over their bodies, their limbs turning black. People were literally bleeding from the inside, and he could do nothing about it. So he felt there was no point in teaching something that proved useless against such a disease after all those years of study.

Nostradamus remarried a woman named Halina (of German descent - she had moved to France with her father when she was a young girl) but did not have any children with his second wife as she was unable to bear any. They loved each other, but it was companionship and convenience more than anything else. She needed a husband (women in those days had very few options) and he needed a housekeeper to look after him, so it worked out well for both of them. There was not a lot of physical contact, and Nostradamus didn't have too much time for a relationship anyway as he was too wrapped up in his writing and visions. He spent all his time writing, and sometimes he would write all night.

The visions that would become his famous book of prophecy began as powerful visions in his sleep. He never took much notice of them at first, believing they were just dreams built on fears from his past. But then he started dreaming about things that meant nothing to him. As far as he knew, they didn't exist yet - they were in the future. So he started researching by reading as many books as possible from as far and wide as he could obtain them. He would read anything to get an inkling of what it was that he was seeing and what the connection was to the future. Nostradamus began to understand that there were things to come which didn't exist yet and that he was actually seeing them. Since his personal tragedies, he rarely ever communicated physically with spirit world, but during his time of sleep he communicated fully and openly. As he would write he would see the visions as pictures on a television screen. That to him was most interesting. But as mentioned earlier, he had to disguise his writings due to the Church in that time being very fearful, domineering and oppressive.

Nostradamus died at around the age of 63-66 years and it was his request that he be buried with his manuscripts after he was was told through his communications with the spirit world that his grave would be dug up by looters after his death. He wanted the world to know about his work, so he asked a trusted friend to ensure all his remaining work would be buried with him. True to his visions, his grave was dug up and his notes found by soldiers during a war in the mid 18th century. Unfortunately, the book we know today as Nostradamus' prophecies is not a reproduction of his original manuscript. Like the Bible, it was rewritten and additions inserted by several other men. All that aside however, Nostradamus wanted to leave humanity his insights in the hope that they would prevent the disasters and tragedies he foresaw. Sadly this has not been the case.
