UFO CONNECTION RADIO STARTS THIS WEEK
Maidstones Barb Campbell is taking her paranormal research to the airwaves.
Campbell will make her latest foray into the paranormal on Feb. 10 with the internet broadcast of UFO Connection Radio.
Campbell, the CEO and founder of the Saskatchewan Provincial Paranormal Research Centre Inc. (SPPRC) now located in Paynton, says the topics covered on the twice-monthly show will be wide-ranging, and guests will include witnesses, researchers, specialists, and people who have experienced first-hand interaction. Having undergone a recent change in name, the SPPRC is now a non-profit, registered, charitable organization, and interest is skyrocketing.
Our membership is just snowballing ... were getting more people all the time, said Campbell. Now Ive just started the radio show and we will be talking about all paranormal topics UFOs, Bigfoot, hauntings everything.
Campbell said the changes in the SPPRC mean there are people all over the province compiling data and following leads for the SPPRC; something which gives Campbell plenty of information on a number of different paranormal activities.
Right now in Regina, for example, I have about six people down there working on a highly active haunting case involving a school, said Campbell. There are desks moving, basketballs being thrown its highly active.
The station is affiliated with the Haunted Voices Radio Network, and will air every second Saturday from 7 p.m.to 9 p.m. CST. Campbell said there are many benefits to being associated with the network, not the least of which is the fact Sirius satellite radio has shown interest in broadcasting shows from the network in the future.
Sirius is taking a look at broadcasting this series of radio shows, said Campbell. They have been taking some feeds already, and as soon as they listen to us enough, we are hoping we will be on Sirius permanently.
The concept for a paranormal radio show has been in the works since 2005, but Campbell said it was difficult to produce an independent show herself. The problem was compounded by the fact Campbell was unable to do a live broadcast and had to pre-record all the shows.
In addition to the radio show, Campbell said a future goal for the Lloydminster area is to set up a facility where the SPPRC could take a more in-depth look at the cow mutilations which have been reported in the Midwest.
We hope to have an actual property where we could carry out experiments, said Campbell. We want to be able to carry out experiments on decomposition for the unexplained animal deaths to see if anything can be mimicked which would give us some more information.
